Americans are fucking crazy for thinking I will excuse their child murderers cuz they're poor
fuck the marines 😁
murder 4 pay is not excusable, just cuz you're broke it doesn't mean you should just be able to kill people to get out of debt. Are iraqi lives so fucking worthless to you that someone's poverty escape is more important than the working class of the global south? You should be ashamed of yourselves. American lives are equal to the rest of the world, and that means no excuses for joining the american military. There is no excuse to joining the terrorist forces that kill middle eastern people, there is no excuse for anything. The people in the rest of the world are poor, we don't fly out thousands of kilometers to loot regular people's homes and country who didnt do anything wrong, we do not sign up for voluntary mass murder institution, and if we did americans would never shut the fuck up about it.
cruelty is so easy. youre not special for choosing it
"The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting. This is the treason of the artist; a refusal to admit the banality of evil and the terrible boredom of pain."
-Ursula K. LeGuin, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas
"Evil is boring. Right? I kinda believe in the banality and mundaneness of evil. Evil is just selfish impulses, which at the end of the day are really easy to understand. It’s easy to understand why people do bad things. It’s like “yeah, ok, you’re selfish and scared and cruel, I get it”. Being good is complex and beautiful and hard." - Brennan Lee Mulligan
"How monotonously alike all the great tyrants and conquerors have been: how gloriously different are the saints." --C.S. Lewis
If you are a citizen of the US worried that under Trump the attrocities which you have heard about occurring around the world will be brought to your home, the correct thing to do is not to go into the comments of third-worlders' posts and demand sympathy. The correct thing to do is to study how these attrocities have come about and what the most effective means of resisting them are.
I will not scold people for their fear or ignorance, but so many of you (USAmericans) react to this in ways that are horribly impertinent and unproductive!
Someone at an old job asked why I wanted to write up the meeting minutes for our team and I said 'i wanna control the narrative' and they were like 'what' and I pointed out that no one was gonna remember what we said in six months and so my interpretation of the meeting would dictate the assumed reality of what happened
"none of you ever send corrections when I offer the draft so y'all have consented to my version"
"we don't read that shit"
"you must trust me implicitly to create our shared reality that's so sweet"
That's how several coworkers decided I was a supervillain and how I learned several coworkers didn't understand record keeping as like a CONCEPT
they should make a version of socializing that doesn’t make you feel like you’re still the weird 12 year old kid that doesn’t know why she’s not normal like the other kids
everyone knows that space is very very cold, and the sun is very very hot. so i assume there's a bit of space kind of near the sun which is just right. balmy space
Yes, that’s. That’s where we are.
